Unique Liesbet
Backpacking to faraway places, exploring off the beaten tracks is what Liesbet loves most. She has traveled the world, her children and husband treading along. Most beautiful and memorable are the indigenous people who don't have a thing but are very hospitable, friendly, and most importantly: happy.
Practicing sports (tennis, soccer, running) gives her energy and during the pandemic, she discovered mountain biking, padel, and golf as additional outdoor sports to recharge her batteries.
Liesbet volunteers as a 'study buddy' of an Albanese girl. She is very inspired by Franziska Iseli's 'The Courage Map' describing the principles for living a bold and courageous life. On her nightstand lies Matt Haig's 'Midnight Library' about choices, regrets, and embracing life.
Young Liesbet, she'd tell that "Perfect is the enemy of good; dare to come up with something that is not yet perfect."
Her motto being 'You never fail, you either win or learn,' she is motivated by venturing into new things and learning from them.
As a mentee herself, Liesbet experienced the benefits of mentors who challenge; give honest feedback; name, and question limiting thoughts; offer a fresh perspective and inspiration. Now it is Liesbet's turn to give and support and mutually learn along the way, creating positive ripple effects.
