Unique Stephanie

  • What do you do in your spare time?

I’m a multi-passionate woman who loves her kids, family, and friends. Most of the time, you will find me exploring a new place with the kids (farm, woods, playgrounds, zoo) or brunching with friends, organizing a dinner party, or going to a concert. Last but not least, I’m a learnatic, so I am always in for learning something new (reading a book, workshops, etc.).

  • What motivates you?

I’m motivated if I can help people and organizations grow. I love to inspire and coach people to become better versions of themselves. It helps me to become also a better me.

  • Who is your hero?

My hero died last August, namely Caroline Pauwels, rector of the VUB. She was the rector the VUB needed to make VUB even greater than it already was (it is probably clear by now I studied there).

Caroline is an example of a great and inspirational leader and amazing woman. The optimism, the opportunities she saw and took: waw! I wanna be a Caroline one day!

  • What is your motto?

I’m a huge fan of Simon Sinek. I recently quoted him on LinkedIn because it often feels as if he’s describing me 😉

  • What good is an idea if it remains an idea?

Try. Experiment. Iterate. Fail.

Try again.

Change the world

  • What advice would you give your young self?

Just be you and stay as close to you as possibly can.

  • Why do you want to mentor?

I enjoy facilitating a person’s growth The idea that you can do this is very fulfilling for me.

  • What makes you a good mentor?

I’m a result-driven and human-centered woman who is extremely curious and always sees growth opportunities. Having me as a mentor can be hard work, but that’s all worth it!

  • Did or do you have a mentor in your career?

I’m still looking for someone to handle me 😉 I have a peer who challenges me now and then, and I am truly grateful.

Think this mentor is the right one for your challenge?
