How Busy Bee Ilse balances her yin and yang:
☯️ running to empty the brain; jazz dancing to express herself; yoga to channel her boundless energy, and traveling for new experiences
☯️ meditation, reading, playing the piano and slowing down in nature.
Growth is the red thread in her life: being the best version of herself every day and unlocking potential in others.
Ilse's reading is eclectic. Currently on her nightstand lies "I Hope I Screw This Up: How Falling In Love with Your Fears Can Change the World","The heirs of the earth" by Falcones, and "Coaching for Performance: The Principles and Practice of Coaching and Leadership."
She was raised with her feet firmly on the ground and is weary of idealization. No hero name dropping, but Ilse would like to sit down for dinner with her father, who passed away when she was 18 years old, and philosophize with him about life.
"Nothing is impossible; the word itself says 'I'm possible!" Audrey Hepburn's quote befits Ilse's gusto in seizing the most out of life, not being limited by fears or social pressure.
Young Ilse, she'd tell that patience truly is a beautiful asset. Driven by her energy & passion, she sometimes moves too fast. The second tip is to enjoy the journey while you're on it. Happiness is not a destination.
Being a mentor fits her do-gooder-side. Driven by a strong sense of purpose to leave behind a better world than she came into, she is on a mission to put EQ on the corporate table. Ilse benefits from having a mental coach for over ten years and a few permanent go-to-people or lifelong mentors. The intellectual, emotional, and mental connection is one of the greatest gifts!
Ilse closes with the quote: "If you want to change the world, start with yourself."
