  • 🏆 This book has changed my view of the world; a must-read!

ā›·ļø I still remember very well the day I started reading this book. It was in the French Alps in March 2017.

āš” My first reaction was: why didnā€™t I read this book ten years earlier?

It would have made my life much easier. Since then, I have re-read it several times. It is one of the books that are permanently on my bedside table.

āš” Ryan Holiday has helped me understand the behavior of people around me and, to be honest, my behavior. In this remarkable book, he describes how ego can block success.

My five takeaways from this book are:
āœļø Our ego, combined with our ambitions, can lead to (very) destructive behavior
āœļø Our ego can even destroy the success we have already achieved
āœļø You can find success only when you can control your egotistical impulses
āœļø Aim to do something rather than be someone
āœļø An excellent way to keep your ego under control is to surround yourself with people whom you can learn from
