  • Middle management is in crisis mode

  • Company leaders shout out that their middle managers are in crisis!

They feel their middle managers are not able anymore to lead effectively.

  • What's the problem?

  • Specialists agree that tomorrow’s workplace will be location-independent and even transnational. Location-independent work offers numerous advantages. It is the answer to employees’ demand for more autonomy and creates unseen opportunities in the war on talent. And what’s more, it makes companies more agile and competitive because the limitations of office space, national borders, and the traditional (and local) 38-hour week disappear.

    However...

Asynchronous, remote, or hybrid working where the focus is on output & results clash with traditional industrial ways of organizing companies.

Many companies apply a promote-from-within strategy to allow internal employees to take up leadership roles. This strategy is more and more in contradiction with how & where knowledge workers in 2023 collaborate.

In this webinar, we discuss the reasons for this increasing tension. We will also give leaders an alternative, refreshing view on career management, (reverse) mentoring & job crafting.

  • What will you learn in this webinar?

    • Why is traditional management (partially) outdated?
    • What is asynchronous working, and why is it crucial in hybrid & remote work?
    • How to use skills-based HRM & job crafting to tackle the war on talent?
    • How mentoring & reverse mentoring can reduce inter-generational tensions within companies?
  • Let's learn from a real digital nomad
