My (other) passions are art-painting, especially creating realistic and impressionistic portraits fascinates me immensely. During my career, I have seen a lot of the world, and I still like to travel with the US remaining a favourite destination, along with Scandinavia. Reading non-fiction on history, psychology, politics,...

My motto: remain true to yourself, strive for positive impact, and be aware of your (in)direct influence on others. Contribute to the well-being of your community, value people for their own individual strengths, and do so both in professional activities and with family and friends. Advice I would give to my younger self? Stay true to yourself and everything will be fine, be more patient, enjoy the path towards your goal.

Why am I a mentor? I have learnt a lot during the varied professional journey I have travelled. With that knowledge and experience, I would like to help others better use their own strengths, understand and address their challenges or pitfalls, and thus bring out the best in themselves.

Mentoring in my own career? It wasn't called that back then, but there have been a number of inspiring and helpful leaders who were instrumental in getting me to see the bigger picture, slowing me down where necessary, or just giving me very practical insights.
