  • 📈 Yesterday, I attended a fascinating lunch session at ETION where Hans Leybaert, CEO of Unified Post, was a guest. He told his story of 20 years openly and authentically. From start-up through scale-up to listed company. A road with many ups and downs.

As an entrepreneur, this type of story naturally appeals to me greatly.

These are my seven takeaways from Hans' story and which I also endorse myself:

👨‍🎓 Becoming great should not be a goal in itself but a reason to keep going
👨‍🎓 When things get exciting, you get creative as an entrepreneur (I can confirm)
👨‍🎓 When you face a challenge, tackle it, go through it, and don't shy away from it
👨‍🎓 The right timing is essential in an entrepreneurial story. If there is momentum, seize it (we feel that every day at Ambits)
👨‍🎓 As an entrepreneur, you like to do things your way (I confess), but also always take full ownership of what you do, even when things go wrong
👨‍🎓 Entrepreneurs love the resistance, the more, the merrier
👨‍🎓 Keep focusing on what you love to do and surround yourself with people with complementary expertise, that way, you can always work to your strengths.
